These three hour training modules are designed to focus on specific business areas.
This session assumes you know how to enter data into Excel and are confident finding your way around with the mouse.
It does not assume any knowledge of formulas and takes you through how to create basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division calculations. It helps you to understand when and why brackets may be required. In-built functions such as Sum, Average, Min, Max, Count and CountIf will be explained which are useful if you are trying to show statistical results from your data.
Shortcuts on how to replicate formulas will also be covered.
This session assumes you are familiar with basic functions, basic data manipulation functions (Sort, Filter, etc.) and need to analyse complex spreadsheets including multiple columns and rows.
This session will take you through the basics of creating a Pivot Table and Pivot Chart and developing this to modify them to extract relevant information. It will help you to understand when to use a Pivot Table and format the result to assist with reporting. It will also show the use of the “drill down function” to detail data, the use of “Slicer” and how to adjust the Field Settings to modify the format of the data.
This session assumes you have an understanding of basic calculations and are familiar with formatting text and cells.
Templates allow you to re-use a file without the original being accidentally overridden. You will learn how to insert pictures, text boxes and format cells to create business documents. The session will show how to create drop-down lists for consistent data entry, add formulas and prevent error messages.
It will also look at worksheet protection to restrict who can make changes to the template and restrict cells where data can be entered.
This session assumes you are familiar with the concepts of PivotTables and Charts but want to use them in a more dynamic way.
Here you will learn how to plan and create a dashboard with Excel. A dashboard helps you monitor important business objectives by bringing the relevant data together and presenting it in a visually intuitive way.
You can use queries to connect to external data, choose from a variety of charts to display data, drill down into details with a PivotChart, and apply conditional formatting to visually highlight trends.
